Oca\u00f1a was an artist, a rebel and a drag queen, his life and work made a mark far beyond Barcelona and Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>beyond Barcelona and Spain, which at that time was beginning to free itself from the rigidity of a patriarchal, authoritarian regime of General Franco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The play OCA\u00d1A. K\u00d6NIGIN DER RAMBLAS was written by the Catalan director and much-performed author Marc Rosich and the composer and guitarist Marc Sambola in 2018, commissioned by the Neuk\u00f6llner Oper, at that time with Denis Fischer as Oca\u00f1a and with &#8220;his&#8221; music, the coplas, the passionate Spanish &#8220;hit songs&#8221; that deal with great feelings in small everyday life and so much more.
