What is a father? And what is he not? Did my father love me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great theatrical evening of encounters and emotions unfolds between musical, drama and dance. The text by the successful author couple Lutz H\u00fcbner and Sarah Nemitz is accompanied by epochal songs from pop history from Fats Domino, Bowie, Beatles and Queen to Clawfinger to create the sound of this questioning of fathers. Sung and played by three singers and a dancer as well as the musicians around Peer Neumann – who played great songs from pop and rock history in his father’s band for years and ultimately inherited his collection of 10,000 records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiction and documentary material come together, as the fathers themselves are not seen. They are in hospital and it is uncertain what will happen next. Thus they remain a projection surface for wishes, accusations and feelings with which the characters Frieda, Maria and Hanno are left alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the invitation of the Neuk\u00f6llner Oper, Lutz H\u00fcbner and Sarah Nemitz wrote a moving theater text, which is supplemented with personal contributions and memories of all those involved. Director Alexandra Liedtke turns it into a poetic evening of musical theater about memories, the past and our present and, last but not least, the diversity of love between parents and children. After the theater, the stage becomes an exhibition, a walk-through family album, and invites you to linger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
