Dead silence. Berlin in silence. White noise on the radio. Music has been banned. Only the birds are allowed to sing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But from the barricaded cellar of the Neuk\u00f6llner Oper, a group of young people are taking to the streets in resistance. In the blue hour between day and night, the subversive movement that calls itself “VOGELFREI” meets and plans the uprising for the freedom of voices and asks: “What are you prepared to give? And what are you willing to give up?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the new music theatre VOGELFREI, the Junge NKO<\/a> deals with resistance, betrayal, the fight for freedom and terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Junge NKO production succeeds in creating a stirring portrait of the paradox of the concept of freedom, which remains deceptive because it can be colored ideologically.<\/em> The end result is the insight that non-violent resistance can constructively demystify conditions that are taken for granted, whereas instrumental violence cannot.<\/em> The production stimulates intense reflection, rewarded by applause and standing ovations.<\/em>
