On 13.9.2019 Clara Schumann née Wieck 200 will celebrate her birthday with a come-together of women in the (music-)theatre on the question of equal opportunities with her male colleagues. Exemplary and encouraging initiatives such as the Burning Issues Academy in the field of drama and performance have preceded, now it’s about women in music theatre and what should, could, should, could happen.
Framed by birthday serenades, greetings and other messages to Clara, (professional) women and men talk about best practice examples, current structures, experiences and what needs to be changed and how, including the establishment of a network and other steps.
Invited are selected artistic directors and their deputies, further theatre people, colleagues from the media, science and culture.
HAPPY B*DAY CLARA will take place on 13.9.2019 at 21.30h following the performance of CASTING CLARA at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin.
