ANGST VOR MELODIE?

AND:
Do We need a quota for living female composers? MusiC performance And Roundtable-DisCussion

Shouldn’t half of the music theater of the future be written by living composers for our time and for a current audience? Can it shy away from melody and accessibility, like many pieces of academic so-called new music? And doesn’t it finally have to become diverse and above all fair, with a 50% share of women?

We talk about this with Matthias Schulz (Intendant Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin), Tatjana Beyer (Theater Freiburg), the composer, performer and reformer Moritz Eggert and the internationally active composer Diana Syrse.

With a music performance by Mami Nova.

Free Admission, please RSVP via e-mail.
Location: Kulturstall Britz.

AFTERWARDS
Presentation of the finalist’s works of the Berlin Opera Prize.
