The Neuköllner Oper is housed in a listed building. We are constantly working to supplement and improve the accessibility of our building for people with disabilities and are always happy to receive your questions and suggestions!
TICKETS
The box office of the Neuköllner Oper is located on the ground floor and is accessible without steps. The Neuköllner Oper shares an entrance with the opera restaurant VORWERCK. The signposted entrance to the opera and cash desk can be accessed via the entrance to the opera restaurant VORWERCK. The opera house and restaurant are located in the passage on Karl-Marx-Strasse.
EVENT SPACES “HALL” AND “STUDIO”
The two venues of the Neuköllner Oper, “Saal” and “Studio”, are located on the third floor of the building. Visitors*with wheelchairs should first contact the ticket office. A member of staff will pick you up at the Neuköllner Oper and take you via the stage lift into the hall or studio to your seat. After the performance you will be picked up again and escorted outside.
TICKETS
Severely disabled persons receive tickets at the regular ticket prices. If you click on “Tickets” in our schedule overview and then on “Book now”, the prices are listed to the right of the hall plan. Accompanying persons of people with severe disabilities (B) receive a free ticket. People with severe disabilities who need an accompanying person are requested to book a “Severely Disabled Ticket” or “Severely Disabled (with wheelchair) Ticket” plus a free accompanying ticket by telephone, on (030) 68 89 07 77 or directly at our opera box office (main entrance). The box office is open Tuesdays to Fridays and on matchdays from 15.00 – 19.00 hrs. Booking is also possible by e-mail, at: tickets@neukoellneroper.de. Wheelchair users* are kindly requested to announce their visit in advance, if possible, so that we can accompany you in the best possible way.
LOCATION OF WHEELCHAIR SPACES IN “HALL” AND “STUDIO
With every production the seating plan changes and with it the location of the wheelchair seats, because: every one of our productions gets its own stage set. Our box office will be happy to give you detailed information for your respective visit, telephone 030/68 89 07 77 (available Tuesdays to Fridays and on showdays from 15.00 – 19.00). There is a maximum of 2 wheelchair places for hall performances and 1 wheelchair place in the studio. The studio is not accessible for electric wheelchairs.
BARRIER-FREE WC
A barrier-free WC (entrance door 0.8 m wide) is available on the 3rd floor next to the stage lift. Please contact a member of the evening service, who will show you the way from the hall past the mask room to the barrier-free WC.
HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES
The Neuköllner Oper does not have its own parking spaces. If you are travelling by car, we recommend that you travel via Richardstraße. There you will find public parking spaces as well as parking for the disabled. The Neuköllner Oper is located in a passage that is accessible at ground level and without steps from both Karl-Marx-Strasse and Richardstrasse.
